Recent developments include a 340-acre economic site that will be bordered by 240 multi-family homes, 100 townhomes and by 6,000 to 8,000 sq/ft single family properties.

“Working where you live and living where you work is of great benefit to both employees and employers and we have made a conscious decision to include affordable housing opportunities in close proximity to this development”, said Ben Marino of Mount Pleasant Town Council.

More than 40% of the 1700 acres will be dedicated to green space, with a 15 mile tract coursing through the project. A 100 foot buffer will help maintain the character of Mt. Pleasant. Twenty acres will be dedicated for a new elementary school, 2.5 acres for a fire station and police substation and 4 acres for a library. 1oo acres will be given to the Town for a passive or active park.
