Park Day on Daniel Island

October 7, 2009 | Leave a Comment

A fall tradition and an entertaining day of fun events, field games, food and live music for the entire family. This Lowcountry festival has become one of Charleston’s biggest charitable events raising money and awareness for more than 20 non-profit organizations. The day features a line-up of entertainment and events in a waterfront setting overlooking the Wando River. This year activities include everything from pumpkin painting and children’s crafts, dance contests and gardening exhibits to a “Wild Kingdom” showcasing a petting zoo, exotic native birds, reptiles and more. There will also be jump castles, pony rides, bungee trampolines, and a climbing wall. Visitors are encouraged to bring their dogs and visit the Dog Showcase featuring a Dog Spa with spa services, pet training and other dog related activities. Admission and parking is free. Park Day will be held at the Children’s Park on Daniel Island on Saturday, October 10th from 11 am – 5 pm. For more information see
